This year, we’re ending it with a bang! 🙂
Instead of just one, for the first time ever, we’re hosting two charity events as part of our end-of-year gathering with the entire management team in Davao city, Philippines.
First off, we are donating sports equipment to the kids at the SOS Philippines orphanage. My dad supported this orphanage staunchly when we was alive, so I love continuing his legacy by being able to do this.
We will be donating sports equipment good for 150 – 200 kids; volleyballs, basketballs, badminton sets, hula hoops, skipping ropes, soccer balls, and others to encourage the kids to play, be active and healthy. We did a similar drive last 2023 and we are going bigger this year!
Aside from the orphanage, our company has also supported a Women’s Shelter since 2018. This shelter is Talikala Inc. a nonprofit that houses and supports abused, trafficked, and prostituted women in Davao City, Philippines. They provide medicine, psycho-social support, and livelihood programs for their beneficiaries.
In the past few years, we’ve sponsored and hosted Christmas parties for Talikala, and it has really warmed our hearts doing this. During these parties, we invite standup comedians, we give away groceries, we play Bingo games, and more.
Aside from these charities, we also support the following charities all year round:
The KKIS Project – Keeping Kids in School
A Mexico-based nonprofit that helps kids with scholarships, school supplies, and English proficiency training to help them get better opportunities in life.
A Philippine-based nonprofit on a mission to provide a permanent home for abandoned, neglected, and surrendered children with mental, physical, and social disabilities.
Art Relief Mobile Kitchen – ARMK
A community kitchen organized by artists and journalists, that cooks food for calamity-ridden areas and impoverished communities.
