As an all-Filipino team and an “old timer” in the outsourcing industry, I noticed that a lot of businesses want to pour into the growth and development of their team members, however, they lack the resources and logistical means to make it happen.
This year, we are aiming to change that by launching the Proximity Team Supercharge Retreat!

The city’s safety and cleanliness is known all over the country, as it is dubbed as the “Singapore of the Philippines”. For treats and adventures, visit the city’s Chinatown, fruit stands at Magsaysay, and enjoy fresh tuna and king crabs from the city’s amazing seafood restaurants.)
The Program
This retreat is a multi-faceted leadership, personal development, and recharge weekend for your remote professionals (RPs).
Each activity is especially curated to contribute to the professional and personal growth of your RP. We’ve gathered amazing facilitators and high end consultants to lead lectures, group coaching, and even 1:1 coaching sessions with your team members.

Day 1 (Mountain Resort)
Ice breaker
The RPs get to know one another, share their “superpower” and what they’re looking forward to in the retreat.
Transformative journaling (40 mins to 1 hour)
We all do an activity where all RPs will be randomly given prompts to properly process their intentions in the retreat, where they’re at, or anything they want to put to paper. These prompts will be focused on self-awareness, growth, and one’s contribution to the world as a human being. There will be a bit of sharing after, and processing.
Group masterminds (1.5 hours)
Based on the forms that they filled out, the group will be divided into 4-6, and will have 1 team lead/ facilitator. People will be matched with RPs that have different strengths, different insights, and from different companies. They will all share a recent win, a recent or pressing challenge, and help each other out. The facilitator will make sure every share is timed properly, and that “no bad advice” is given (e.g. unreasonable, unique to the industry, factually inaccurate).
Lunch
The group enjoys a wonderful buffet lunch at the fishing village, where they can have experience catching live fish, and getting them cooked as part of the lunch.

Teams will be designed based on the companies they belong to. Same company = same team. Then they will be matched with similar industries too, so that it creates a sense of oneness.

Drive back to Davao city proper. All attendees have a free night to explore Davao city.
Day 2 – Coaching and Fun Day
The group will be divided into two: management and growth.
The management roles will cover all management, assistant, and operations-type roles, while the growth roles will focus on setters, account executives, client success managers, and lead generation VAs. They will be matched with a coach that will have a 45 minute coaching session with them + process their results with an onsite homework and a growth path. The growth path is a set of resources that will be custom to what will help your RP become better and more empowered in their role.
Coaches and Consultants:
Alex Booth – With over 8 years of experience in management and operations, Alex takes his best practices from Amazon, Microsoft, and Yellow Pages to our retreat. Alex’s latest successes include leading a Client Success Team (an Amazon in house B2B service) for Newell Brands, a publicly listed company with over $1B yearly revenue on Amazon stores alone.
Noa Einhorn – Noa has done it all in the sales-focused inbound & outbound/ call center/ Business Process Outsourcing arena. With over 7 years of experience leading, training, and setting up sales teams in Israel and Philippines, serving call centers of up to 350 seats with attributable YOY growth of at least 10%, she’s excited to coach your team member for improved sales and setting performance.
Mae Antonio – Known as Proximity Outsourcing’s “Operations Mama”, our Director of Operations puts her coaching hat on as she takes almost a decade of experience leading and coaching fully remote teams for $1M+/ year companies. Mae also just recently earned her Green Belt Certification in Lean Six Sigma Management.
Karla Singson – Proximity’s Founder is joining the coaching team as she takes her best management-for-growth principles with her personal experience founding and growing an outsourcing company from zero to seven figures in a year without ads. She has also done multiple stints as a revenue optimization consultant for $3-5M/ yr companies. (Trivia: Karla used to be a professor for Ateneo de Davao University, one of Philippines’ best business schools, and earned her coaching certification from the prestigious Asian Institute of Management.)

Ideally, the coaching session and the onsite homework will only take a max of 2 hours. The rest of the day is free for the RP to enjoy. They will also be asked to pick their select excursion for the morning or afternoon.

- Malagos Mountain and Garden Resort – Enjoy a relaxing time at the Malagos Mountain and Garden Resort and visit the famous Davao chocolate factory, home of the 4-time award winning chocolate from the World Chocolate Awards (UK).
- Philippine Eagle Sanctuary – Explore this habitat of the monkey-eating eagle and spend time appreciating the unique flora and fauna of Mindanao
- Downtown Wonder – A food tour and a walking art and history tour for first time Davao city visitors. Check out the yummy offerings of Chinatown, and see Kublai Milan’s famous sculptures up close.
Participants are free to spend their nights in the city.
Day 3 – Outreach and Community Building
One of the most important things that we want our team members to imbibe is the spirit of gratitude and service to others. On Day 3, we will expose the RPs to an outreach program with ARMK (Art Relief Mobile Kitchen) a huge community kitchen that cooks warm meals to victims of calamities or other forms of displacement. The RPs will cook and help distribute these meals, and interact with the community.
Participants will have a four hour window before the dinner, which will be hosted in an awesome restaurant with surprise entertainment, contests, and a raffle program!
